Grumpy the Gator

In Grumpy the Gator, a group of children playing encounter a grumpy alligator. The story teaches children to always keep a safe distance from animals in the wild, and to find an adult if they see an alligator.

Licky The Lizard Is Friendly… and a giveaway

Excitement continues with the release of my first children’s book, Licky the Lizard. From announcements, guest blog posts, marketing and sales, to well wishes and requests for signed copies, this has been a full week of blessings.

I have been asked how my stories are created. Truly, anything can bring an idea for a story. As with Licky the Lizard, personal experience can turn fear into understanding. I’m not saying I would like a lizard for a pet. But, I do have a better outlook about lizards now, especially since the story evolved. Licky the Lizard really is friendly and enjoys sitting outside on the front windowsill. Wonder if he knows he is a celebrity? šŸ™‚

The new website is up and running. From time to time, I will update with the latest in my writing journey, maybe have a giveaway and even share some fun news or contests.

My writing continues with two fiction stories and a non-fiction idea inprogress. Also, more children’s stories are coming alive in my mind.

Each day offers new opportunities to show His love. I have said this before and will share again. Look around and see how you can show His love to others, even to lizards.

Keep pursuing your dreams. Thank God for His love and His blessings.

How about a giveaway? Leave a comment and a winner will be picked to receive a free signed copy of Licky the Lizard.

Blessings and giggles,
Mimi

So fun! My younger son had a lizard for a pet for many years! The funniest thing about him was that he seemed to calm down whenever my son played classical music! I would love to get your book to have in my home for my Grandkids!

Congratulations, Mimi!!! It looks like such an excellent and fun book for children! Our oldest daughter had an iguana since it was little, and adopted another from an abuse shelter. They were amazing creatures and so beautiful when their skin changed colors! She used to put a leash on them and walk them on the beach.

Hi Melissa, I donā€™t like lizards and I kill them when they come into my house. I think I really need to read your new book so that God can give me a loving heart, even towards creatures like lizards. The illustration looks very nice and the premise is wonderful as well. Helps to encourage a loving and compassionate heart in a child.
