Windy and rainy day here with branches bending while birds try to snuggle down in their nests. Cars drive slowly through the downpours of rain. The neighborhood is quiet except for the sound of raindrops hitting the roof and the windows.
Gazing through my home office window, I notice the pond across the street. A most beautiful sight! Raindrops appear to be dancing back and forth on top of the water as if they are chasing each other. I imagine music playing to their “drop drop plop plop” in the pond.
Amazing to watch! Each raindrop falls from the sky while many other raindrops follow along. Looks like an orchestrated event.
Once again, God has given us beauty in His creations. Dancing raindrops….
Have a blessed week and watch for His blessings,
Mimi
Dancing raindrops….
What a lovely photo! I like rainy days. I just don’t like wet shoes! I tend to wear my winter boots long into spring so I don’t have to worry. Thanks for a gentle break to think about the pleasures of a soothing rain, Melissa!
I enjoy the sound of raindrops. Like you, I don’t like wet shoes. 🙂
Watching for the blessings today. Thanks for that reminder which I needed this morning.
I, too, will continue to watch for His blessings. 🙂
I do love the rain! 💗
Me, too. Rain can be very peaceful.
Hi Melissa,
Thank you for your blog post “Mimi On Life”.
Your first two paragraphs created a fantasy place in my imagination because you write so vividly.
Yes, sure, God has given us beauty in Nature so we can enjoy it.
God bless!
Edna Davidsen.
We are truly blessed with His creations. 🙂
Yes we are Melissa. Just by observing the world He has creating for us fills me with joy. Thank you for what you’re doing for the Christian online community. You’re very faithful and engaged. May God continue to bless your ministry.
I love finding God in the midst of the ordinary, and this post was a beautiful way to point to Him! His creation is so wondrous, even the drops of rain!
Finding God in the midst of the ordinary is a beautiful way to worship Him. 🙂
I’m watching the drops as well. These are from the melting snow on the roof. Living in Wydaho means an average snowfall of 500 inches on our ski slopes. It take a lot of melting. Not my favorite thing to see because I like to play in the snow… a lot.
And because it means the beginning of Mud season. Most of our roads are gravel and it gets messy. For a LONG time. Most of us take off to warmer climates for a while so we can miss the mud!
Mud is not fun at all. I do enjoy the rain. The sound of the raindrops lulls me into rest. 🙂
Melissa, I could just picture the scene as you described the water droplets on the pond. That talent will greatly enrich your stories! Thanks for the post.
You are so sweet! Thank you for being such a great inspiration and encourager. 🙂 I appreciate your kindness.
I love to listen to the rain at night. Asleep within minutes.
Rain can help me sleep, too. Very peaceful. 🙂
I will forever remember “dancing raindrops.” I will imagine God at the front of his raindrop orchestra too!
Love picturing God directing the raindrop orchestra. 🙂
Melissa, I so enjoy the images you painted with words! I love the sound of rain tapping on windows and our roof. I have an app only phone that plays the rain sounds. I listen to it when I’m on a flight and need to sleep. 🙂
Your photo is beautiful!
What a great idea to have an app that plays the rain sounds! Very peaceful. 🙂
It’s been raining here too the past few days – a rare and very welcome event in our drought-ridden part of the country!
It’s soothing and as a gardener I am so excited and thankful because I know all my plants perk up, bloom, and blossom after a good rain. 🙂
I love seeing the new growth of flowers after rainfall. Beautiful. 🙂
Love this post. Reminds me of the one I wrote, “Ripples in the Pond.” Thanks for sharing
We are blessed by His amazing creations. 🙂
There is nothing more wonderful and relaxing than watching rain on a warm day. It’s the little things in life that shows us how much God cares for all humanity. Love it! What a blessing.
I pray I always pause to listen and look for His blessings. He has so much love for us and continues to show His love in every moment. 🙂
Beautiful! <3
Thank you so much. 🙂
What a beautiful description. Love watching and listening to raindrops. God’s blessings. His nourishment for us and our earth. He completes our needs….sometimes they are small but they are there….look for them.
Thank you so much for reading my blog 🙂
Lovely image, dancing raindrops.
Today is sunny in coastal SC, but I will forever remember His dancing raindrops. 🙂
Thank you, dear Melissa, for reminding me to find God’s beauty in whatever rain dance is happening in our gardens.
Blessings ~ Wendy Mac
Blessings to you Wendy! 🙂 Enjoy the day!
Mimi, when I was a kid in Cincy, it rained all the time. I remember watching the drops pound and splatter on the black topped driveway and imagining it was people joyfully dancing! 🎉❤️
Karen, what a sweet memory! 🙂
We woke to a dusting of snow this morning. A very late spring. But very pretty. Thanks for crafting words and pictures! God bless!
Amazing how the weather changes so quickly. 🙂
Thanks for sharing, Mimi. I’d continue to watch for God’s blessings, even on ordinary days. Blessings to you.
Blessings to you, too. God’s blessings are abundant. 🙂
Oh, I love watching dancing raindrops on ponds. Thank you for that image today!
I continue to be amazed at the beautiful sights and sounds God provides for us to enjoy. 🙂
I love short a synopsis of God’s beauty. Too many of us don’t take the time to notice. Thanks for the reminder!
Thank you for commenting. Have a blessed day!
Oh, I love this imagery! Such a reminder to pause and notice everything. And, raindrops after the snow? Spring is coming!! 🙂
Yes, Spring is coming and I am looking forward to Spring. 🙂
Love rainy days! Every form of weather has its own beauty!
I agree. I enjoy something different about each season and each type of weather. 🙂
It was beautiful to read this once again! I have been so busy trying to get my first product on my website, that I’ve forgotten to look around at God’s beautiful creation this week. Thanks for this reminder!
God does give us many beautiful creations to enjoy. 🙂 Thanks for reading and commenting.
