Grumpy the Gator

In Grumpy the Gator, a group of children playing encounter a grumpy alligator. The story teaches children to always keep a safe distance from animals in the wild, and to find an adult if they see an alligator.

Grumpy the Gator

Its Always A Story With The Hendersons

Sandy toes and big tub…….

One of the great things about living near the ocean is being able to take long, leisurely walks on the beach. The sights are amazing! Seashells of all sizes, shapes and colors delight the eyes. Horseshoe crabs on the sand, dolphins jumping in and out of the sun streaked water and people surfboarding, kayaking and swimming. ย Watching the waves roll in and out is mesmerizing. The majestic wonders of God’s creations are limitless.
Alan and I decided to buy some “water” shoes so we could walk on the beach and not worry about stepping on shells and hurting our feet. Finding a sale at a local store and being pleased with our purchase, off we headed to the beach.
Parked car, changed from tennis shoes to new “water” shoes and found a nice boardwalk to enter the beach. Ahh…. what fun we had exploring all the sights and sounds. We now know where Santa Claus spends his October days. He was at the beach. Red tank top, red swim trunks and a beautiful white beard and white hair. (In case you wonder, we didn’t bother him. He needs rest.)
After the long walk, the time had come to return home. Back to the car, take off new “water” shoes, which are now full of sand and try to clean sand off of feet. Not easy! haha
Returning home, we knew that sand should not enter the house. Even with wiping off with a towel at the beach there was still sand everywhere. What should we do?
Well… our townhouse is not new and when it was built, tubs were the big request. Personally, I like a shower so when we moved into this house, I thought, “What will I ever use this tub for?” (other than filling the tub in preparations for storm aftermath)
Guess what? I found a use for the big tub. Perfect for sticking my feet under the water and getting the sand from between my toes. ๐Ÿ™‚ I have to giggle every time I stand beside the tub and stick one foot over the side and turn on the water. I feel like a little girl playing in the water.
God gives us giggles each day and He also gives us new adventures each day. Have you found joy in something as simple as sticking your toes under the water in the tub? Share your joy with us.
Blessings and giggles,
Mimi

I love your descriptions of your new home! Walking on the beach just sounds so peaceful and finding shells is a favorite pastime of mine when we visit the ocean. Water shoes? I never heard of them. This up north girl doesn’t know. LOL There is joy in the smallest things sometimes.

We use the bidet for that over here in Italy! Takes a lot less water to fill it too!! We too love walks along our Adriatic beach!

Cute post! I find watching the waves to be an almost spiritual cleansing and very calming. I received a blessing and a giggle when I was outside this morning with my dog ~ a shooting star raced across the sky! Such a delightful surprise!
